Police looking for suspects involved in a shooting outside Chandler Fashion Center


CHANDLER, AZ (3Television/CBS 5) — Police are searching for suspects following a shooting in the parking whole lot of the Chandler Style Centre on Monday evening. The taking pictures took place all-around 7 p.m. outside the mall concerning Harkins Theatres and Firestone Auto Heart. Police say an incident broke out concerning a team of individuals and someone began capturing.

Surveillance video shows the suspects driving off just before law enforcement arrived. Officers say no person was harm and it was not an active shooter condition. “There is no danger to the group or mall at this time,” explained Chandler Sgt. Jason McClimans.

Over 25 officers rushed to the mall and uncovered shell casings in the parking lot. Police say the mall is shut and will reopen tomorrow early morning. Arizona’s Household news chopper was over the scene and noticed a area of the parking large amount taped off. Law enforcement vehicles were also near every entrance of the shopping mall, even though buyers were huddled collectively.

McClimans verified some organizations shut and people were having shelter. The mall was locked down before officers began evacuating persons out. Officers say a description of the car and suspects will not be released till a lot more information is gathered.

This is the next law enforcement problem at a Valley mall in just a few times. On Friday, the Arizona Mills Shopping mall in Tempe was evacuated after an armed male pointed a gun at another person and then ran into the mall. Officers and shopping mall security quickly cleared all people out but didn’t obtain the armed male. No injuries have been noted, and the shopping mall was reopened shortly afterward.
